RMITV is another great place for anyone wanting to start a career in media!
Our members gain transferable skills to many entertainment industries such as film, television, print, radio, web-based, advertising, education, new media and many other industries. We’ve got a long history of our members working up a storm in the media and communications fields!
Forming in 1987, RMITV is the longest established community television organization in Australia. We’re also a founding member of the Melbourne Community Television Consortium (MCTC) – they run Melbourne’s free-to-air community station, Channel 31. RMITV is a not-for-profit independent film and television production group. RMITV is a department of RMIT University’s Student Union.
Last year we proudly created ten shows for Channel 31! RMITV loves producing quality innovative and entertaining programs, whilst providing practical media experience for our valuable members.
Don’t miss out on your chance to get training from industry-based practitioners, such as employees of major networks and mentors who have worked globally! We also visited Nine Network, ABC and the set of a period-drama production. Join RMITV as there are many more workshops and tours still to come.
