The Facebook status you need to hear, plus Vice, Bauer, Allure, Junkee, Conversant and more at Mumbrella’s Publish
How is Facebook battling bad behaviour on the platform and what is it doing to increase collaboration with publishers and support trustworthy, informative and local news? Facebook’s news partnerships lead for ANZ, Andrew Hunter, will speak at Mumbrella’s Publish to reveal all that and more.

Facebook’s Hunter will talk about the ongoing battle against bad operators on the platform
Hunter, who’s held senior positions at publishers including News Corp and Nine as well as Microsoft, joined Facebook late last year in the newly created role – one which has increased in importance as the issues of trust, publisher revenues and diversified content strategies continue to challenge the industry.
Mumbrella Publish takes place on September 20 in Sydney with earlybird tickets on sale now. The Mumbrella Publish Awards will be held after the conference with entries open now.
I’m sorry, but I don’t think I’ll be taking any advice on Youth-led publishing (if there really is such a thing) from the likes of Microsoft, Bauer, News Corp or Nine.
More chance of me trusting Nielsen ratings.
Hi there, Pashto,
Microsoft, Bauer, News Corp or Nine won’t actually be talking about youth-led publishing.
There will be a panel including Junkee, Allure and Conversant about how publishers appealing to youth markets have changed the media expectations of a large group of Australians, which in turn could shape how content is produced and distributed by others.
Thanks,
Damian
Thanks, Damian, for clarifying.
