The Media Store appoints new head of strategy

Independent media agency The Media Store has nabbed M+C Saatchi’s Tanvi Singh as its new head of strategy and planning.

In her new role, she will lead the agency’s strategy and planning output, helping clients through data and insights. Singh will be responsible for reviewing and innovating current client strategies, while also overseeing new business pitching.

She brings nearly 14 years of experience to the role, with experience across the banking, fintech, retail, and FMCG sectors. Her work has been recognised with multiple accolades, including APAC and regional Effies and Spikes Asia awards. She is also the former vice chair of the MFA’s DE&I Advisory Council.

Singh joins The Media Store from M+C Saatchi, where she spent just under a year as senior strategy consultant. She has also held strategy roles at Mindshare, Vizeum, Isobar, BBDO Worldwide, and Bates CHI&Partners.

Singh said the industry is “changing faster than ever before”, so there is increased momentum among clients looking to independent agencies.

“I believe TMS has an impactful proposition in ‘Re-imagining Media’ to offer to clients and the industry. Stephen [Leeds, CEO] and Jacquie [Alley, COO] are a strong leadership duo who have built an incredible agency culture, and I’m excited about what’s coming and look forward to partnering with them to do great work,” she said in a release.

Jacquie Alley, chief operating officer at the agency, said: “As we continue to focus on providing industry-leading, multi-channel media solutions, we’re excited to have someone of Tanvi’s significant expertise to lead our strategy and planning offering.”

She said Singh has a diverse skillset that will come in handy.

“As an engineer turned marketer, she is well-placed to lead both strategy and planning for the business, with her proven track record of driving impact with creative use of media and technology,” Alley said in the release.

“We look forward to working closely with Tanvi to invigorate our current client strategies, while also seeking out new business opportunities.
