The Monkeys release first work for Holden, telling women ‘Nothing to Prove? Prove It’
The Monkeys have released its first work for Holden, promoting the car brand’s latest SUV Equinox model through its new brand platform ‘Nothing To Prove? Prove It’.
The creative agency won the account in August, with Holden telling Mumbrella the partnership was an opportunity to create more emotional advertising and market to women.
Dear Holden stop killing your brand. Please stop.
Looking forward to seeing the sales spike from this . . .
Clearly written by a bunch of men who think they understand female empowerment….
An insight perhaps…But with a tacked on product. And an avuncular and creepy v/o.
Trade it in. It’s a lemon
If the advertising is any reflection of the product, the car is a piece of crap. and so is the agency that’s damaging the brand.
Based on objective criteria Equinox is right up there in its class. So why are Holden being so apologetic? “My car’s not as good as good as a Mazda CX5 but I don’t care because I have nothing to prove”. WTF?
Nobody in out household has any idea what they are trying to say. Reading the above, it seems they didnt have any idea either.
Who is singing the song in the equinox commercial? Thanks
I had to google this to find out why they were telling me to prove it as a means of selling a car. I gave up on Holden due to customer service and not having brand belief in their own band. Think I will continue with Toyota.
