The Skirt unveiled: It’s Karalee Evans
Regular readers may recall Dr Mumbo’s tale of “The Skirt”, an agency strategist advertising herself as available for hire.
It was a posting that entertaingly (and unexpectedly) mutated into a debate about sexist language, sexism and eventually racism.
However, the identity of The Skirt herself remained unconfirmed. Until Friday night that is, when Karalee Evans outed herself, proving that the very first commenter on the post, James Duthie, a mere 19 minutes after it went up, was indeed correct.
Let’s hope she now gets a job out of it.
I think I now owe James a beer for his correct (and very quick) guess!
Thanks for the interest in the Skirt for hire campaign, Dr Mumbo. I like you, didn’t anticipate such an interesting and somewhat animated discussion on the original post but it probably did my little campaign the world of good!
Will keep you updated on the progress. And you can still email skirtforhire [at] gmail.com 😉
Karalee
Just read the original thread and what an entertaining way to start the week it was. Well done to the Skirt and I genuinely hope you get some work. Guess you just need somebody with a brand that wants to lure adland w*nkers into saying silly things. Hang on though – that’s Mumbrella isn’t it?! Give the pretty little thing a job Dr Mumbo…
I’m just glad I got in before it somehow descended into a debate regarding equality and racism…
Congrats Karalee. Awesome little campaign and I’m sure it’ll help land you a great gig.
As always great stuff Karalee. Keep us all posted on what happens down the track.
Well done Karalee, you’ve proven yourself already!
You know how to work the machine 😉
