The Voice returns for eighth season with 1.01m metro viewers

The Voice has returned for 2019, its eighth season, with 1.012m metro viewers tuning in for the premiere episode, giving it the lowest launch night for the show to date. Season seven landed to 1.029m while the year prior saw season six bring in 1.180m.

The slightly decreased figures meant Seven News was the most watched program for the evening with 1.170m metro viewers tuning in. More viewers also watched Nine News, which saw 1.063m.
