Thursday TV audience vanishes from primary channels again
Australian TV audiences’ disenchantment with Thursday night’s programming on the primary channels continued last night, with not a single entertainment show rating more than 1m. More than a quarter of free TV viewers fled to the secondary digital channels.
Seven News (1.206m) and Today Tonight (1.051m) were the only programs to deliver above that level.
Third came Ten’s The Biggest Loser on 967,000, according to preliminary overnight ratings from OzTam.
In the breakfast slot, Seven’s Sunrise (429,000) returned to winning ways against Today (370,000).
If One is rating only 0.9% (and I’m not sure this is typical), why are Murdoch and Packer (juniors) worrying about the alleged threat to their Fox Sport investment? Surely Fox Sport is rating higher than that, particularly in the looming football season.
There’s nothing to watch on ONE in prime time. It’d be great if they had some highlights but most of those packaged shows are ESPN owned.
When today tonight and aca are the top shows of the night you should be concerned about the intelligence of the population!
