Tom Gleeson: comedian, Gold Logie winner and Ten’s secret weapon?

Dr Mumbo doesn’t know Tom Gleeson personally, but he’s starting to wonder about his influence on the media industry.

After six years and 100 episodes, Gleeson announced on Wednesday night he would be leaving The Weekly where he hosts the segment Hard Chat.

The conversation began uneventfully. Sitting in the studio with The Weekly host Charlie Pickering, Gleeson celebrated the situation.

“I’m in the studio! And I’ve quit! That’s exciting isn’t it?” he asked Pickering with delight. But Pickering wasn’t letting him get away with his resignation easily.
