Seven Year Switch boosts audience by 66,000 as Reno Rumble continues to struggle
Seven’s controversial new relationships show Seven Year Switch pulled in 826,000 metro viewers last night, up on last week’s audience of 760,000.
The show, which airs at 9:00pm, was the second most-watched show across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54) while Seven’s My Kitchen Rules was the most-watched program.
MKR grabbed 1.373m metro viewers at 7:30pm, easily out-rating Ten’s Bondi Rescue, which was watched by 522,000. Bondi Rescue was also beaten by the ABC’s 7.30, which had a metro audience of 658,000.
MKR, Bondi Rescue and 7.30 all easily beat Nine’s struggling Reno Rumble, which grabbed 370,000 capital metro viewers – down on last week’s effort of 453,000. Last night’s episode was 48% down compared with the same episode last year.
Put big bang theory back where it belongs then your ratings will go up nine
Someone at Nine seems to think that all reno shows should follow the 80/20 rule: 80% arguing and bitching and 20% renovating. Switch that around and you might get a few more viewers – I turn off the moment the contestants start carrying on, which is normally somewhere about the 1 minute mark.
