Don’t know what it is about Bathurst but it is definitely compelling viewing; has me glued to my couch every year and I’m not necessarily a V8 fan. That last hour (final 20 laps) yesterday was absolutely thrilling (and I say that as a viewer who generally only watches for the crashes!!!!)
Agree with JB comments re Bathurst – the rivalry of the top 6 cars going flat out and trying to outwit each other at every turn made great entertainment. My 7 year old was glued to it until the end.
More exciting than both major football grand finals! Yet they got screwed in their last telecast negotiations….
