Well how great is this.
Bought a Box of VB at local Dan Store and recieved two Fridge Magnets.
Got a Winner top.
Come home all excited to enter to redeem prize only to find out I have to download receipt to redeem. Didn’t ask for receipt did I stupid me and wasn’t told at point of purchase I would need it to enter. (No.1 Blunder) Then find out I live in Victoria and only Cartons of Carlton Draught purchasers are eligilible in this State. (No.2 Blunder) Stupid me. I bought VB as this is my favourite Beer.
Oh well I will have to travel to NSW to purchase my VB to be eligilible for the prizes or change to Carlton. Well I’m not changeing to Carlton and not travelling to NSW so it looks like all VB lovers in Victoria are ineligible for any promotional prizes.

Every time you order any item you can only use one voucher then you have to pay postage $5 in our case for a stubby holder. Went to the pub next night bought a scooner of Tootheys New (NSW)for $5 happy hour and won a free holder handed to me over the bar. I’m finished with VB.

Thought I could redeem off next beer purchase. No.

This company makes millions of dollars year after year and it seems all they care about is lining their own pockets with cash then helping out the public, who buys these products.
CUB, you guys better pull your fingers out and fix up these errors or you’ll end up losing customers and will have no money to line your pockets with!

Won some e vouchers thought great log onto see what I could purchase and yep the afl glasses $15 checkout and it’s going to cost me $10 postage . Then I thought ok I could get a esky and put money towards the purchase postage $30 .
Hence I didn’t purchase anything. A big company like that can surely waive the postage considering the magnets are winners lol.

It’s allowed me to claim the $15 e voucher. The cheapest thing you can buy is an AFL
team embossed beer glass at $15 each. Postage is $10 to send it out. Not worth it Carlton. You are making at least $10 each person on postage to claim a so called “prize”. This appears to be a way of making money from people to recoup your loss of manufacturing the prizes. I’m not bothering with claiming. It’s not worth it. Stick your prizes where the sun don’t shine.

Just have prizes given out like Tooheys do at venues. Simple.

Bought a box of Carlton yesterday, got a cap magnet with a “prize” but couldn’t claim due to notice on collectables site that promo finished day before.
No notice to that on carton, or in store.
What a dud.

Well what a surprise! The promotion is over. As said previously some form of notification about the closing date would have been nice. Unlike some above I do have my receipts and was told at point of purchase that I needed them (sounds good), also told I good redeem the e-vouchers off my next purchase (Is this misleading advertising?). And why should I need to pay anything to receive CU promotional material (why not have them at point of sale). Totally disappointed, I’ve been drinking CU products for 30 years. Like all the rest above, I’ve got the shits.

Looks like every single message is a complaint and I can’t blame them.

Whoever, it was in Marketing who came with this promotion should lose their job, unless the intention was to actually run a competition and not honour the prizes and piss off all your customers, in which case they should be promoted because they did a fantastic job.

Reading through the comments, lots of very angry VB drinkers. These days companies do make it much harder to enter any comps. So waste all that promo money when people will still buy the beer? We are living in a very wasteful times. These companies know it. I tried also, And waisted my time searching on how to redeem the e vouchers? And the e vouchers will be thrown away into the rubbish just adding to our even more wasteful gabbage problem? Good on you VB for your hard earn trash

your previous promotions have been straight forward and fair this one is just a farce very disappointed.

Ended up with 4 x $15 bottle caps, had receipts, went to claim them approx 2 weeks after they stopped handing out the magnets and that was too late. Companies that have such a short redemption period, are obviously trying to rip their customers off!!!

Has anyone noticed when you use the magnets on your fridge, if you are not very precise they actually scratch your fridge.

Also think that they are a dangerous choking hazard for young children and should never be left within their grasp including the fridge.

Because I am so disappointed with this ill conceived promotion, I have banned CUB/VB products from my household for six months. That’s approx 1,560 cans that they will not sell.

I have 17 sets going and 13 of these sets are 3 caps from competition the same 3 caps in all 13 sets, and I buy beer all over NSW I would really like to finish the sets.
