Vinnie Jones stars in Optus ‘education’ push to explain EPL content
Former football hardman turned Hollywood actor Vinnie Jones is again the star of a series of new ads from Optus as it continues to roll out the “education” strand of its English Premier League marketing push.
The ex-Wimbledon player stars in a series of new spots for the telco, which stole the rights for the football from Fox Sports at the end of last year, outlining what content fans subscribing to its new service can expect.
In one of the spots, understood to have been created by Emotive, Jones talks to the camera explaining, loudly, the new offering, which will see Optus running a lot of the Premier League’s own content, as a “premium offering”.

Vinnie Jones obviously agrees with Premier League supporters getting bent over by coorporations. Shame, really. Does this mean that No Optus’ Premier League subscriptions aren’t what the D grade provider had hoped they would be? If so, that’s very promising.
