Virgin Australia to pitch creative account
Australia’s second largest airline, Virgin Australia is pitching its creative account, Mumbrella can reveal.
The news comes three months after former Telstra marketer Inese Kingsmill was brought into the Virgin Australia Group as head of marketing and customer engagement.
Late last year, the airline decided to cut ad agency budgets, bringing its creative in-house with Michael Dole working on a contract basis, in an attempt to save $300m by 2019.
I can smell a Telstra coming on.
Another client who doesn’t really know what they want, the selected agencies should pull out of the pitch, if they had any sense. But, maybe they enjoy being reamed? They (virgin) went in-house, they used a variety of agency’s on the account (their words) WTF are these pathologically pitch addicted (B)ankers on about?
… I reckon they are on about a half a million a year each.
