VML scores Australia’s only Yellow Pencil among 37 winners at D&AD Awards
Just one Australian agency has walked away with a coveted Yellow Pencil at this year’s D&AD Awards, with VML winning one in the Mobile Marketing category for its Rip Curl Search GPS campaign for Rip Curl.
VML managing director and ECD Aden Hepburn will share the inside story on the campaign on the Behind the Scenes in Creativity panel at Mumbrella 360 running across June 2-4.
Overall Australia won 37 Pencils at this year’s festival, with the vast majority of them Wood, which has this year replaced the ‘In Book’ accolade at the awards.
The juries handed out five Black pencils, the highest accolade, with New Zealand’s Colenso BBDO winning in the Radio Advertising Campaign category for its K9FM campaign.
