X-Men: Dark Phoenix takes over $2m in first weekend out, fails to topple Rocketman and Aladdin

X-Men: Dark Phoenix, the latest film in the X-Men franchise, has taken $2,705,618 in its first weekend at the box office, losing out to Elton John biopic Rocketman and Disney’s Aladdin remake.

Rocketman took $3,411,705 for its second week in cinemas and Aladdin $4,743,323 for its third.
