7-Eleven and Mobil are making driving (un)forgettable, via CHEP Network campaign

7-Eleven has partnered with CHEP to advertise its latest partnership with petrol brand Mobil – one that enhances the fuel experience of drivers nationwide.

Mobil’s fuelling stations at 7-Eleven have been reworked with new technology “to enhance engine performance” for drivers via Mobil’s newest fuel range.

So, to celebrate this and the notion that drivers can go further ever before, the iconic convenience store chain worked with CHEP to create and launch an integrated campaign. The platform is helmed by a hero film directed by Revolver’s Jeff Low, featuring a hero lying across the hood of a car as its driver – the film’s villain – races down a highway under a sky churning with storm clouds.

The problem is, the villain and the hero have been driving for so long they don’t even remember why they’re on the road in the first place – and it’s all thanks to Mobil’s new fuel.

“The ability to drive further on one tank was such a simple place to start, said CHEP’s executive creative director, Tian Murphy. “We looked for a way to tell Australia about it in the most entertaining way we could.”

Adam Jacka, the head of brand, marketing & loyalty at 7-Eleven Australia, added: “With Mobil’s best ever fuel formulation, 7-Eleven customers can fill up with the confidence we are helping their engines go further.”

“In a world of parity products with little differentiation, this is a genuinely unique, powerful benefit for customers, and we challenged ourselves from a marketing perspective to push the boundaries in how we bring this to life.”

In addition to CHEP Network, the platform enlists the services of PHD Media to support a fully integrated campaign across instore, audio, out of home and digital channels.

More than 600 7-Eleven outlets across Australia are hosting Mobil’s new fuel.
