‘A brighter future for the people of Canberra’: Houston Group scores ACT Government client

Houston Group has grown its client base by winning the creative strategy and brand account of a property development organisation by the ACT Government.

On Monday, Houston announced that it has signed on the Suburban Land Agency (SLA) – following a pitch process – to help bolster its brand perception and the work it does in generating flourishing communities for Canberra.

According to the creative and brand strategy company, its winning of SLA’s account is a reflection of its “brand transformation experience and leading place making capability across some of Australia’s largest property organisations”, including TOGA Group and Lendlease.

At the same time, the win was also due to the agency’s experience with working with not-for-profit institutions and government organisations (Westfund, Austrade, etc.), boasting skills in sensitive stakeholder management, while securing “successful organisational efficiencies and positive community outcomes”.

“We couldn’t be more excited to form this new partnership, working alongside the entire Suburban Land Agency to demonstrate the value they add in creating thriving communities for the ACT,” Stuart O’Brien, chief executive officer and founder of Houston Group, said.

“Helping to enhance brand perceptions and establish that the Suburban Land Agency is truly transforming the shape of Canberra, is what we’re here to do.

“Our 12+ years of experience across the entire Lendlease business, from Residential to Commercial, and Retail to Urban Regeneration – demonstrates our understanding of the complexity and methodologies required when visioning and building places for the long-term.

“It’s an amazing opportunity to be able to work on the other side, for the government, who is all about ensuring a brighter future for the people of Canberra.”

SLA joins a set of recent client wins for Houston that contains Health PArtners, QT Hotels and Vinnies NSW. The news also comes a few weeks after the company assisted LendLease in launching a new brand identity for the shopping complex above Sydney’s Victoria Cross Metro Station.
