ABC1 climbs Monday ratings ladder ahead of Ten

While Nine remained on top in Monday’s ratings among the main channels, ABC1 surged into third place behind Seven with viewers tuning into its news and current affairs shows.  

In overall free-to-air TV viewing, Nine’s main channel attracted a 28.9 per cent share, ahead of Seven with 26.9 per cent. This was followed by ABC1 with 16.3 per cent, then Ten with 15.2 per cent, according to overnight preliminary OzTam data in the main metro markets.

The latest results for the latter two channels was in contrast to last Monday when ABC1 had a 13.9 per cent share, behind Ten’s 17.4 per cent.

ABC1 made it onto the top 15 list with its evening news, Australian Story and the Four Corners investigation into scientology.
