Andy Pilkington leaves 303Lowe after four months to join Moon as ECD

STW Group’s brand agency Moon Communications has hired the former head of ideas at Naked Andy Pilkington as executive creative director.
Pilkington joins after just four months as creative director at ad agency 303Lowe.
Pilkington will replace Greg Logan, who moves to new STV Group-backed content company Hatch. Logan had been working part-time at Hatch since STW launched the company in April.
Four months? As ECD? Hugh Heffner’s got a better track record with girlfriends than that.
I’m just some guy talking on the blogs and I’ve never met Andy, but aren’t Moon worried he’ll drop them when someone prettier walks into the room?
I remember a recruiter once told me that if you leave somewhere in under three months it is usually because the person isn’t right for the job. Where as if you leave a place from three months to under a year then it is usually the place isn’t right for the person.
I don’t know Andy or the 303 Lowe well enough to comment on this situation, just proposing another point of view.
I know Andy and he’s too good to be a CD – pretty simple really then when the right opportunity comes along.
