Archival footage of F1 legends Ayrton Senna and Max Verstappen features in new Honda Australia campaign

Honda Australia has launched a new campaign designed to inspire customers to follow their dreams, featuring prominent Formula 1 figures – defending world champion Max Verstappen and the late Ayrton Senna.

‘Unstoppable Dreams’, which debuted in Australia on Monday, brings Honda’s ‘The Power of Dreams’ platform to life, while showcasing Honda’s 76-year history in supporting competitors across various racing codes.

It follows the distinctive journeys of competitors with strong ties to Honda, including archival footage of the late racing legend Ayrton Senna in the 1992 Formula 1-winning McLaren Honda MP4/7A, and the current world champion Max Verstappen in the 2021 Red Bull Racing Honda RB16B.

Brought to life by director Rupert Sanders, what starts as a disheartening story about failure and giving up, switches into a journey of how setbacks can serve as the greatest motivator.

Eva Barrett, general manger of brand, marketing and CX at Honda Australia, said the automotive brand wanted to inspire customers and fans by “celebrating those who follow their dreams”.

She said: “This new Honda campaign delivers a reassuring message of how determination and self-belief can lead to resounding triumph.”

The spot also highlights various Honda vehicles, and how regular Aussies can also follow their dreams in a Honda.

The campaign is live across social, digital, and OOH channels, and will be live on TV from March 3. It will also feature in cinema later this year.
