ASICS to host shoe swap activation, via Alt Shift

Creative social and PR agency Alt Shift is gearing up to host an activation for sportswear brand ASICS, one that invites Australians to swap their old runners for the brand’s new Gel-Nimbus 28 shoes.

The activation was prompted by commissioned research that found that 79% of Australians credit physical discomfort as a reason for not being regular runners, with 31% naming it as their number one barrier to running.

However, the research found that 85% of Australians recognise the importance of movement for mental wellbeing. 46% revealed that more comfortable shoes would encourage them to hit the pavement, while 56% of established runners said new shoes would give them the confidence to continue.
