Australia first heard of mRNA during COVID; now an ad explains all

Global biotech company Moderna, known for its mRNA COVID vaccine, has launched its first consumer campaign, aiming to explore the possibilities of mRNA technology, via TBWA\Melbourne.
The campaign, ‘Welcome To The mRNAge’, aims to create an approachable and inclusive connection with the audience, to expand Australians’ knowledge of the subject.
The hero film invites viewers to imagine the possibilities of mRNA technology, with a red string representing it, interweaving between a series of scenarios where the technology could be implemented.
Michael Azrak, general manager of Moderna Australia and New Zealand, said he hopes this corporate brand refresh will invite curiosity about the breadth of mRNA technology in addressing unmet medical needs.
“Our mission is to deliver the greatest possible impact of mRNA science to create a new generation of transformative medicines for patients. This campaign will aid in generating awareness for the unique intersection of technology, humanity and health at which we operate,” he said.
“We wanted to bring the potential of mRNA to life in a way that is interesting and inspiring to the general public.”
The campaign is rolling out across TV, OOH, online, video and Moderna’s owned channels until December.
