Australia’s Got Talent is most-watched show of 2011 as Seven claims ratings victory
Australia’s Got Talent’s was the highest rating regular program in 2011.
The performance episodes of Seven’s variety competition show – which aired on Tuesdays – averaged 1.936m across the five metro cities according to OzTam.
In a year dominated by Seven, the network claimed the top three most-watched shows with British drama Downton Abbey in second place, rating 1.906m, and Australian drama Packed to the Rafters in third, rating 1.861m.
Seven claimed 22.6% channel share, followed by Nine with 19.1%.
Channel 7 has always been the best of the best, as far as I know. They cater for all types of audiences and all their programmes are just right. Take for example the varied comedy programmes: Some Mothers Do Have’en, Malcolm & Eddie, Keeping Up Appearances, etc. etc., which have all been a delight to audiences. Without comedy, life is flop! Thank you Seven People and keep the fire burning.

Who’s paying you Tim, and how much?
The top rating show of 2010 pulled 4 million viewers.
Isn’t the big story here that TV has lost half its audience?
