The Bachelor slips lower on second outing for Ten
Audiences fell for the second outing of Ten’s dating contest The Bachelor with 622,000 metro viewers after 669,000 on Sunday, OzTam’s preliminary overnight ratings show.
The show was 19th for the night among all people, dropping from 11th place for its debut. It was fourth in its timeslot behind Seven’s The X Factor, Nine’s Big Brother and ABC1’s 7.30.
However the show did slightly better in Ten’s target category of 25-54s, where it was eighth for the night, but still behind The X Factor and Big Brother.
Ten said the show won its timeslot among women aged 16 to 39 in all cities, and in Sydney it was number one in its timeslot among all 16-39s.

I am not sure how they will regain any momentum as they have damaged the brand so much with last years fateful strategy of “youthful laser focus” lead by ……
I am sure we will see the love hearted Ten watermark disappear soon…not much love at the moment.
Why did Channel Ten think The Bachelor would work? I wouldnt watch it.
I thought Hamish said that the Bachelor was going to be targeted more broadly with older contestants in line with their new target demo strategy..mmmmm
I love all the Channel 10 TV advertising ads (INTENSIFY) during prime time! Not a good sign for the network….
PLEASE don’t can The Bachelor Hamish… it’ll come home strong!
