Bingle relaunches brand with new campaign from The Monkeys with skydiving chimp
Bingle has become the latest insurer to relaunch its brand with a campaign from newly appointed agency The Monkeys using a chimp called Joni to demonstrate how easy it is to get a quote.
In the new spot a voiceover explains how easy it is to use the Bingle site, which will be demonstrated by Joni doing it in under 30 seconds, blindfolded, with one hand tied behind her back, whilst skydiving.
The campaign is based on the insight that most people do not enjoy researching and purchasing car insurance, and follows on from the first spot from the agency for the company which showed a crab getting a quote.

I give it a 1/10. Won’t cut through the noise, just another boring insurance ad – ironically, exactly the kind of thing they were setting out to avoid.
“The campaign is based on the insight that most people do not enjoy researching and purchasing car insurance.”
I’ve met toenail clippings more insightful than that.
seriously, 4 months of CGI in NYC to get the chimp right.
Here I was thinking they had put more work into the Press Release around brand positioning of the ad and working with The Monkeys versus what the consumer would do with this newfound information.
Nice job if you can get it.
The problem with Bingle is their use of Lara Bingle’s last name. They won’t be considered a serious contender in the market until they stop using her name and find a name more suited to car insurance.
Throwing monkeys from planes? Really? Even when animated the idea will be distasteful to many. Humour lesson #65: something bad happening to someone is funny…if the ‘victim’ deserves it. The monkey does not. Poor work.
