Bonds invites consumers to design their own hipsters
Bonds has taken its Rachel Taylor-featured ‘Feel the colour’ campaign for its mesh and microfibre hipsters online, inviting consumers to enter a design competition to create their own hipster prints.
Devised by Holler Sydney, the online contest asks users to choose a photo they think would look good on a pair of Bonds hipsters and upload it to enter.
Holler claims that the technology used in the entry mechanism for the competition, using photo-sharing technology app Instagram, is an Australian first.
“Bonds is a brand that people love and want to be a part of,” said Bonds brand manager, Zoe Hayes. “While we’re a huge part of the online community already – what we loved about this idea is that is transcended the digi to reality gap.”
Looks simple to enter, great idea for a competition says me.
I’m going to design one with a beard and a fixed gear bicycle.
are you serious, this is an old idea..co-creation has been around for the past 3 years…the fact it’s on instagram, hardly a new idea…but good on em anyway
I don’t understand how an agency can use Instagram and Adobe Flash in the same campaign. Technically dumb.
A flash microsite, how quaint.
