Brisbane Radio Ratings: 4BC up with Jones and Hadley shows as Annakin Skyrocker lifts TripleM

Screen Shot 2015-06-02 at 10.13.01 amThe decision by the newly merged Macquarie Radio to network Sydney shock jocks Alan Jones and Ray Hadley to Brisbane has delivered 4BC a small ratings lift rising 0.3 points to a 5.3 weekday share in the latest survey.

This is the first full ratings survey since major cost cutting at 4BC saw more than 20 staff axed including its Breakfast and Mornings presenters, Ian Skippen, Loretta Ryan and Patrick Condren, but this did not stop the station from seeing a lift with Breakfast rising 0.3 points (to a 6.4 share), Mornings up 0.4 (5.8 share) and local program Afternoons with Clare Blake up 0.3 (to a 4.5 share).

Overall ARN’s 97.3FM has retained its position as the top station in Brisbane with a 13.7 share, despite a 0.6 point fall, with its Breakfast team of Robin Bailey, Terry Hansen and Bob Gallagher regaining the breakfast crown from Spencer Howson after the ABC host fell 1.1 points to a 12.6 per cent share.

Meanwhile the 97.3FM trio remained stable with a 13.6 per cent giving them top billing.
