Canines betray their owners in Toyota’s latest Hilux campaign, via Saatchi and Saatchi
Toyota Hilux OOH asset.
Toyota has released a campaign with Saatchi and Saatchi Australia that deploys an army of dogs to champion its new Hilux vehicle.
The platform features a 60-second film, “The Pied Piper”, playfully riffing on the Medieval German tale of the Hamelin piper.
In it, a driver and his dog set off on a trip in a Hilux. Every time they drive past a ute or a building, dogs emerge and jump into the vehicle’s tray, effectively abandoning their owners to show their allegiance to the new Hilux.
I watch this ad over and over….drives my husband bonkers..but he doesn’t love dogs as much as I do. I laugh out loud every time.
Even my dog thinks it’s pretty funny.
T he long strip picture advert at Martin Place Station is a delight. Two Border Collies led by a Kelpie all ahead of the Hilux., a quintessential Australian country life.
Thank you for the creativity.
