Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky star in Alexa+ Super Bowl LX commercial

Amazon is promoting its next-generation AI assistant, Alexa+, with a 60-second spot featuring Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky, airing during the third quarter of this year’s Super Bowl match.

The announcement:

Alexa is returning to the Big Game with a star-studded ad for Alexa+, our next generation AI assistant. Powered by generative AI, Alexa+ is smarter, easier to talk to, personalised, and can help customers get things done.

In the 60-second spot that will air during the third quarter of the Big Game, Chris Hemsworth comes home to find his wife Elsa Pataky chatting with the new Alexa+, and he’s immediately convinced Alexa+ is plotting against him. From a garage door guillotine to an exploding fireplace to a wrestling bear, Chris imagines increasingly outrageous and comedic scenarios. Elsa? Completely unconvinced. By the end, Chris realises Alexa+ isn’t out to get him—she’s actually helpful in everyday life.
