Copycat Corner: Do you have a drink for that?

Dr Mumbo has sincerely missed one of his favourite segments, Copycat Corner.
But never fear, because Dr Mumbo’s particularly shady corner of the newsroom is back in business.
Today’s topic: drinking.
On one hand, Liquorland has a drink for that.
On the other, don’t forget there’s also a Coopers for that.
Dr Mumbo never realised there were quite so many scenarios which required Australians to have a drink in their hand.
The sad thing is both ads are a take off of the Apple ‘app for that’ campaign of 2009 which quickly became a tired meme eight years ago.
Still, Dr Mumbo is sure it’s all just a coincidence…

No wonder Tourism SA went to an interstate agency.
How did this campaign get approved? They are basically exactly the same AND Liquorland is one of the retailers?

I have seen both ads and they are very similar! Almost exactly the same when you watch them back to back.
So dodgy of the Agency who copied the idea.
This is pretty arrogant KWP! bet you thought that no-one put two and two together!!!!!
There’s always going to be similarity between ads but within the same category and the same year is a bit too much of a “coincidence” me thinks…
Get over yourselves. Does the advertising, having been copied, sell less product? Wankers
@ Pete Rush. You’re right of course. We should just have a few all purpose advertisements with interchangeable logos. I worked with a couple of CDs who practiced that. And claimed the credit.
