Droga5 ANZ appoints new head of effectiveness

Kit Lansdell
Droga5 ANZ’s Kit Lansdell has been promoted to build on the agency’s “effectiveness legacy” as its new head of effectiveness.
He has been with the agency (formerly The Monkeys) since 2017, as its business strategy director. Prior to that, he held various roles at Clemenger BBDO, Grey London, and Leagas Delaney.
During his time with the agency, he has shaped strategy for brands including Audi, BBC, Meat & Livestock Australia, the United Nations.
He has worked on the annual MLA Lamb campaigns, launched a new brand platform for Blackmores across Asia-Pacific, and established the ongoing ReMade in Australia platform for the Australian Federal Government.

“I’ve always seen effectiveness as the ultimate measure of what we do as an industry,” Lansdell said in a media release on Friday.
“So, helping Droga5 build on its incredible effectiveness legacy is the ultimate privilege.”
At last year’s Australian Effie Awards — which “champion marketing effectiveness” — The Monkeys took home the Colin Wilson-Brown Chairman’s Award for its work with Meat & Livestock Australia on ‘How the unofficial state of the nation saw Australian Lamb leap to new heights’.
The award was introduced in 2023 in Wilson-Brown’s honour, as an acknowledgement of his lifetime of achievement and dedication to effectiveness.
The Monkeys also took home silvers in the Food and Beverage Brands, Short-Term Effects, Long-Term Effects, and Insight and Strategic Thinking categories, as well as a bronze in the ROI category for the campaign.
Droga5 ANZ CEO, Matt Michael, said in the release: “Kit is one of the country’s most admired strategists and passionately believes in the power of creativity.”
His appointment comes a week after the agency announced an “orchestrated creative restructure”, with CCO Tara Ford relocating to lead Droga5 London. Her ANZ successors are Barbara Humphries and Damon Stapleton, who will be the agency’s new co-CCOs. They will report to Michael.
