Australian fashion PR set to go digital with new software

Matthew PollockA piece of software developed in the US, Fashion GPS launches in Australia this month, claiming to revolutionise the fashion and style industry, and how PR is managed.

A digital inventory management system that allows designers and brands to track samples, inventory and event management and media relations, the system also has an iPhone app called Radar which is currently in invite only-beta.

Designed with stylists and fashion industry advisers, the service claims to help reduce the load of administrative tasks and add a more sophisticated layer to the business of PR-ing fashion, such as trend reports and editorial insight.

Matthew Pollock, director of Fashion GPS, Australia said: “Fashion GPS is radically reshaping the face of the global creative industry and it’s great to see that businesses in Australia are now able to be using the same systems as the other fashion capitals. We are really excited about the potential of both Fashion GPS and GPS events down under. This digital software is not just relevant in the style arena- the business facilitates better communication for all in the creative industries.”
