Honda taps the ‘Power of Dreams’ again for CR-V ad where a girl replaces her broken toy horse
Honda is positioning its CR-V Series II as the SUV that’s made to “go with it” in a new campaign which tells the story of a young girl determined to replace her broken pink toy horse.
Created by Leo Burnett Melbourne, the spot sees the girl’s father go along with his daughter’s plan to fix her broken toy, only to see the family travel to the Ranch of the Rainbow. It is set against the song ‘Howlin’ For You’ by The Black Keys.
It plays on the same ‘Power of Dreams’ tagline as the previously acclaimed campaign for the HR-V.
Fantastic – great to see both a client and agency prepared to back creative advertising; the industry needs more of this.
Had to laugh when the boy break his dinosaur. A very effective spot.
Loved the addition of the boy breaking the dinosaur at the end.
But the main thing is I am sooooooo gonna share this with all my horsey pals.
Bummer that the Honda can’t tow a horsefloat though and that it doesn’t have full four wheel drive to get through MY paddocks. But hey, it is nice city car.
This is brilliant, we need more of this standard of work in our industry.
I love this ad. It’s fun and different and has a great end. Congratulations to the promo company on a smart and fun advert. Well done
This is my FAVOURITE advert, I was that little girl – now I have my own “Ranch of the Rainbow” – shame the CR-V doesn’t make it as a tow vehicle!
Where was it filmed? I noticed the blue horse ridden by the cowboy is an Appaloosa – so I want to know “who” the horses are.
