Concluding a pitch process, an independent media agency has secured the Amazon advertising account for Swann – a global security organisation.
Swann has selected Magic to oversee its Amazon ads activities in three territories – Australia, the United States (US) and the United Kingdom (UK). Magic’s work will look at optimisation, cohesion and activation with an overall goal of boosting profitability in the aforementioned regions.
Magic won the account after impressing Swann with its “strategic approach to its business”, which included several business-driving actions, such as an optimisation and efficiency audit, solution development, and a forward-thinking, profit-centric strategy.
The agency’s data practices also played a role in its account win, according to Swann’s head of eCommerce, Dean Boudewyns.
“We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Magic. From the outset, we’ve been impressed with the agency’s data-first approach to our business,” said Boudewyns.
“Their in-depth insights have already helped bridge the gap in highlighting what was driving our underlying performance and how we can improve. I’m certain our partnership will unlock new opportunities and markets.”
Shah Ghaffurian, co-founder and Magic, spoke positively on his company’s new client.

“Swann’s vision is to be the global leader in smart security solutions, and we’re excited to partner with the company to help reach its goals,” he said.
“Swann was impressed with our strategic approach to its operations, and our focus on using broad data sets to enrich its marketing offering. We’re looking forward to working closely with the Swann team to drive revenue and market share.”
The new working partnership between Magic and Swann is not only the perfect match, but a cultural one too, said Aman Bhatia, Magic’s account lead.
“Working with Swann is a great opportunity,” Bhatia enthused.
“The business is in a competitive vertical, which means the strategies and tactics in place to help them scale will have tangible outcomes.
“The Swann team are also amazing to work with – there’s a friction-free flow of information, and they treat us like a partner, instead of a service agency. We’re excited to deliver some big wins for Swann in the upcoming sales periods.”
A provider of consumer electronics and security tools (including monitoring), Swann originated in Melbourne before expanding globally, setting up offices in Hong Kong, the US, Canada, China and the UK, and cultivating a presence supported by more than 40 countries.
It’s the latest company to sign on as a client with Magic, allowing it to stand alongside Maxwell & Williams, Fivetran and Sophos Global.
Apart from growing its client roster, the indie agency has also worked on bolstering its employee base recently.
At the end of August 2024, the agency announced that it has welcomed Edward McMutrie as its head of signal, tasked with overseeing the organisation’s math and modelling operations. A few weeks prior, Magic unveiled a series of leadership changes actioned to improve “its core disciplines”.
Magic’s work with Swann commences immediately.
Sounds like a Magic move for Baskerville!
