Love Child grabs biggest audience of series as Masterchef stays dominant

love child screeerMasterchef regained its spot at the top of the TV ratings last night although its reality rivals Reno Rumble and House Rules both enjoyed a renaissance in the absence of the budget speech last night.

Ten’s cooking show secured 1.204m viewers, very marginally down on last week’s audience, and topped all the advertising demographics ahead of Nine’s Love Child, which saw a big increase on its audience of 817,000 last week to 932,000 last night, a series high for the drama.

Love Child also picked up another 222,o00 viewers in catch up viewing last week – taking its consolidated metro audience to over a million.

It was helped by an improved showing for Reno Rumble which had 828,000, again more than 100,000 up on last week for Nine at 7.30pm, while Seven’s House Rules climbed fro 675,000 last week to 759,000 last night, according to OzTam’s metro overnight ratings.
