Moccona: for lovers of coffee
M&C Saatchi has launched a new campaign for Moccona in which the coffee brand’s Super Premium Speciality Blend range is portrayed as a lover.

M&C Saatchi ECD Ben Welsh said: “A gentle touch was needed with this idea. Romance is tricky but I think it’s captured here. The story is left to the viewer to complete. I sigh every time I watch it – just like our two previous spots.”
The third campaign in a series by M&C features Moccona’s distinctive jar shape as part of the story.
I had a drawer in my kitchen custom designed around our many useful Moccona storage jars.
Is there a romantic TVC in that truth?
No, thought not.
A comment in my household in response to this ad last night was, “Are they all her trophies! What a tart!”
So much for romance…
I thought it was a tea ad.
Yeah, I like it. It does have a gentle touch. Although part of my mind (the base part) did drift toward imagining the good seeing-to she undoubtedly received in the hotel room – which is A-OK because we all know sex sells.
Boys, boys, boys – stop commenting please. You don’t ‘get’ the Moccona commercial for the same reason you don’t ‘get’ your wife and frankly you don’t ‘get’ it very often.
