NAB has created a video to thank its digital followers as the banking brand’s inhouse social media team celebrates its second birthday.
The video features the team baking cakes and sharing stats.

reminds me of this

meh. Feels like an ad.
Cute video, but a bit strange to make for a social media milestone… Isn’t social media meant to be more about the customers not the company?
On another note, Nab has 8 people in their social media team – that’s crazy! Myer has like double the Facebook fans & are quite active on twitter and I heard they only have two people. I know someone that works at Coles and they said they just have one poor person who does all their social!
I like the video but it does represent everything thats wrong with digital video content. It has nothing to do with the customers! it’s so focussed on NAB! Why would i bother watching it or sharing it??
NAB probably made it themselves. If their agency made it though… :/
I agree with Sarah. It’s a bit too sweet and self-congratulatory for me.
Are fans supposed to feel proud of what the Social Media team has achieved?
That is stinky.
Assuming an agency didn’t make this (it’s got to be internally produced right?) it’s perfect proof of why you should leave content creation to the experts. Bad content is so dangerous….and this is bad.
Bank focused, self congratulatory and with none of the tonality or wit that NAB’s brand has adopted in other comms messaging.
How much food was wasted in the production of this video? Internal propoganda should stay on inside.
You want to see self congratulatory? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A98NFBm8b9U
Well meaning but a little more take than give. Production values look good though for a digital communication. Nice try.
Eh the Commonwealth one tells more of a story and at least mentions the customner. the NAB one does nether :/
Needs more flour throwing in slow-mo.
I really like it. I’m glad to see that some organisations are willing to invest in high production values for their content. This gives great hope to the industry.
Nice work!
