Olympian Jane Flemming to MC Mumbrella Sports Marketing Summit with Cricket Australia comms chief to talk about Phil Hughes tragedy
One of Australia’s most successful athletes Jane Flemming is to MC the Mumbrella Sports Marketing Summit, and host a panel on the issues around female sports marketing.
A former heptathlete Flemming competed at two Olympics and four Commonwealth Games, winning gold in Auckland in 1990 in both the heptathlon and long jump. Since retiring she has been an athletics commentator and sports marketing consultant.
Cricket Australia’s head of communications Jonathan Rose has also joined a session looking at crisis communications to talk about how they handled the intense media scrutiny following the death of cricketer Phil Hughes, who was struck by a ball last November while playing for South Australia.

This website is wrong!!!!!! Phillip Hughes did not die in December while playing for NSW, but he actually died in NOVEMBER playing for SOUTH AUSTRALIA at the SCG!!!!! As a South Australian myself, I feel unhappy about these wrong statements.
