Playstation breaks the fourth wall, with Akcelo, EssenceMediacom and Apparition

A trio of media and creative businesses — Akcelo, Apparition Media and EssenceMediacom — have partnered with Sony’s video game brand, Playstation, to launch its global campaign in Australia.

The platform’s “It Happens on PS5” campaign is designed to celebrate the memorable moments the console has given players since it first launched on November 12, 2020.

Speaking with Mumbrella, Akcelo’s client partner, Oli Cassidy, said that Playstation approached the agency with a desire to localise its global campaign for an Australian audience.
