Pounce Agency releases 2025 Accessibility Guide ahead of Global Accessibility Awareness Day

Pounce Agency has published “the second-edition of The Pounce Guide to Accessibility in Marketing”.

Ahead of Global Accessibility Awareness Day on May 15, Pounce Agency is launching the second-edition of The Pounce Guide to Accessibility in Marketing, an annual initiative designed to promote and inspire accessibility awareness in the marketing community.

A concept spearheaded by Pounce founder and CEO Simran Kaur, Pounce’s guide is designed to encourage experts from across the world to take up the mantle of good accessibility practices and greater inclusion, improving websites and marketing campaigns to accommodate everyone.

“Accessibility has long been seen as someone else’s job, a line item for developers or compliance teams. But in reality, it’s a marketing problem,” said Ms Kaur ahead of its launch.

The accessibility guide, which is free to download, is a combination of best practice information and real-world approaches designed to not only showcase Pounce’s expertise in the category, but show other marketers and agencies how accessibility can be made easy and workable for all.

It includes information about accessible practices for websites, online video, and even how emojis may be interpreted by screen readers, breaking down barriers and making it possible for everyone to do a better job.

“This guide isn’t just a collection of best practices. It’s a call to action – for marketers, designers, content creators, and anyone shaping how brands show up in the world,” said Ms Kaur.

The 2025 Pounce Guide to Accessibility in Marketing is one part of its Global Accessibility Awareness Day initiatives. As part of the agency’s push to get accessibility awareness up, it’s offering a Free Website Accessibility Check for a limited time to help uncover any major risks or quick wins.

Falling on the third Thursday of May every year, Global Accessibility Awareness Day exists to get everyone talking about inclusion and digital access in the modern age. It’s an area deeply connected to online audiences and search, and yet one that is also not typically covered when campaigns are executed.
