Radio Ratings: Mix101.1’s breakfast takes FM ratings crown from Triple M in Melbourne
Mix101.1’s breakfast with Chrissie and Jane has wrested the FM breakfast crown from Triple M’s team of Eddie McGuire, Mick Molloy and Luke Darcy in Melbourne, with the station grabbing an audience share of 7.5 per cent, an increase of 0.9 share points while Triple M’s share of 7.1 per cent saw a decline of 0.3.
The Australian Radio Network’s Gold was the third most popular FM breakfast show sitting on an audience share of 6.9 per cent, while FoxFM’s breakfast duo of Fifi Box and Dave Thornton continues to decline with a share of 6.6 per cent, down from last ratings period of 7.2 per cent. In the first ratings period of 2014, the show had a share of 7.9 per cent.
Overall, Gold held onto its number one FM station position in Melbourne, staying static with the audience share of 8.8 per cent it achieved in the last ratings period.
“FoxFM, Triple M, Nova 100 and SmoothFM 91.5 all tied for second most popular FM station Monday to Sunday, with an audience share of 6.9 per cent, according to numbers from GfK.” According to the data Mix 101.1 is actually in second place with a share of 7.1.
