Heinz creates short animated film featuring bean-loving Geoff to promote new range of cans
Kraft Heinz has launched a new Beanz range in conjunction with its new short cartoon film ‘Geoff The Film’.
The television ads tell the story of Geoff, a Heinz employee obsessed with Heinz Beanz, who creates the new range of cans for his growing family.
Why would you go to pitch when an agency just delivered such a great campaign. Y&R must feel a little robbed.
Saw this last night and it stood out while telling a product story. Well played Heinz and Y&R (New Zealand ?)
We laud the creative work of our Kiwi colleagues. And this nice but derivative piece is an example of their craft. But as advertising goes…it won’t work in Australia. In NZ there is a culture of loving lovingly crafted ads. May be a British throwback. Who knows. But Australia is a harsh noisy environment. And whilst the industry lives these long form John Lewis style pieces…the consumers ain’t got the time or the attention span. This is a brutal country for creativity…and this is just a little soft. A nice piece to wake up and watch this morning. But I won’t be having beans for breakfast.
So, the creative directors just really like Disney Pixar’s Up…
Wow i didn’t realise this add was made in Australia and I am from that country
