Red Rooster serves up newest Christmas campaign, via Leo Burnett Australia

Fast food chicken chain, Red Rooster, has delivered its latest Christmas campaign with help from Leo Burnett Australia – a platform that raises awareness of a limited-edition menu item.

The chicken outlet’s ‘Do Christmas Your Way with Reds’ campaign celebrates the new fried chicken Chickmas Burger.

It leverages a film that sees a tired shopping centre Santa listening to a child’s holiday wish list. Upon one of his elves showing him the new burger, Santa fakes a sighting of his reindeer which causes the line of waiting children to run away, allowing Santa to enjoy his burger.

“Reds is bringing some festive fun to the burger market leading into Christmas. The Chickmas Burger is all about taking the traditional Christmas flavours of chicken, stuffing and gravy and serving it up in a fun, tasty burger that’s pure Red Rooster,” said Ashley Hughes, director of marketing at Red Rooster.

“We know that Christmas can be a bit of a circus, so we created a chicken delight that lets people indulge, unwind, and to get into the taste of ‘Chickmas a little early!

“The Chickmas Burger is the indulgent fast-food way to forget Christmas problems, the endless holiday prep, gift logistics, and (dare we say) awkward family gatherings.”

Hughes added: “This Chickmas season, Reds is giving everyone full permission to indulge in a new, but really tasty, way.

“The Chickmas Burger isn’t just a meal; it’s a seasonal permission slip to take Christmas into your own hands—no rules, no frills, just tasty, festive fun and chicken-ness.”

The Chickmas Burger will launch across the country on November 27, and remain available online and in-store for six weeks.
