Samsung appoints ex-Lion Nathan marketer Arno Lenior to run marketing
Samsung Australia has appointed a new marketing director.
Arno Lenior, a former Lion Nathan marketer, joins as marketing director, corporate.
At Lion Nathan, he was marketing director of premium brands and innovation, and was behind campaigns such as Boag’s ‘Pure Waters’ and Speight’s ‘Great Beer Delivery’.
He replaces Lambro Skropidis, who left the company in December last year.
This is a great hire by Samsung. Congratulations Arno!!
Isn’t the fact he was Marketing Director for Apple for nearly nine years more relevant than Lion Nathan given that Tablet is THE key consumer electronics battleground for 2012?
Arno’s first move should be to sack the author and authoriser of that ridiculous quote from Mr Yoon
Great appointment!
His Apple knowledge should give him insights to tackle the ongoing battle with Apple. The PR Manager for Apple, Jesse James is ironically the former PR Manager for Samsung.
Ease up on the poor Koreans who usually trot out the usual corporate babble believing we all fall for it in its clumsy brand klutz stanse. Fortunately most see it for what it is and ignore it.
Unfortunately the locals have to obey or move on. I’m sure Arno has already learnt this one.
Looking forward to some fresh thinking from Samsung.
