Starts at 60 adds Travel Central to portfolio
Starts at 60 is expanding its travel portfolio with the addition of Travel Central.
The announcement:
Starts at 60 Group, the Queensland-based media, content marketing and travel retailer business serving the Baby Boomer market, has announced the purchase of Travel Central to support the expansion of its travel division.
Starts at 60 enjoys some of the highest engagement rates on Facebook in Australian media and works in content and advertising partnerships with many of Australia’s most prominent brands.
“We’re thrilled to announce Starts at 60 Group has added the Travel Central team to the portfolio. With 20 years of experience building a dedicated audience, the Travel Central team is a welcome partnership with Starts at 60 Group’s existing travel brand, Travel at 60.” Starts at 60 Travel CEO Wendy Harch said.
“This partnership allows us to continue to explore areas where there is a real need for curated products and services.” Harch said.
Starts at 60 moved into the travel sector in 2018, building a marketplace, travel-packaging team and full-service travel call centre in its Brisbane offices, while growing demand for travel packages through its highly engaged community.
“Leisure travel spending in the western world is driven by the retiree traveller, so growing the travel portfolio is an exciting proposition for our team and for our community, which is really vocal about wanting bucket-list-quality holidays from a company they trust.”
Starts at 60 was founded in 2013 and has grown to serve more than 1.2 million monthly users, with more than 6 million pageviews across the network.
Travel Central was founded 20 years ago by Rodney & Nuch Pattison and has a loyal following with a database aligned to the Starts at 60 community, but with the opportunity to introduce an expanded range of packages.
