Supermarkets take out joint print ad calling for consumers to buy less and treat staff better during COVID-19

Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and IGA have taken out a joint ad today in a bid to calm the panic around COVID-19 (coronavirus) and shift consumer behaviour.

The ad, which says the groups are “working together to provide for all Australians”, urges shoppers, whether panicked or otherwise, to treat supermarket workers “with the courtesy and respect they deserve”.

“No-one working or shopping in any of our stores should experience abusive or aggressive behaviour,” it reads.
