Sydney radio ratings: 2Day FM has highest overall result since defection of Kyle & Jackie O
2Day FM has received another boost to its breakfast and drive-time slots, bringing its total share to 5.6% in survey three.
The station, which still remains behind its commercial rivals, climbed 0.4 points in total share to 5.6%, making it the highest result since the departure of Kyle & Jackie O in 2013.

Would be nice to know how many people are actually listening to radio these days, rather than the industry just wheeling out market share numbers.
sooo, the New Look, Macquarie Sport 954 is down in every slot by between 0.9% and a massive 2.8%. Looks like that switch to an all sport format is working well for them. Not. Who woulda thunk?
Macquarie Sports 954. Is the 954:
a) The frequency
b) The station’s cume
c) The value of the station’s licence in Australian dollars
d) The value of the station’s licence in Fijian dollars
e) The amount of listeners that 2UE has shed a day since 2GB gained control of the station
The market is totally dominated by 2GB, which has an average listener age of something like 94. Sounds like radio is going the way of the crank starter……..
Well done today FM, particularly breakfast Ed brings a great vibe to mornings, credit to Em as well has worked hard to bring a good show to the audience – don’t slow guys keep it up!
Do the managers of Macquarie radio ever listen to the breakfast show? Obviously not because Beau Ryan is still on air
Yasss! Go 2dayFM breakfast show. I love anything Em Rusciano does, so I’m so happy to see their ratings go up. I liked the show with Harley but this team is something different & great…Those comments made on the Wilosophy podcast were taking totally out context and in typical media fashion, twisted to make a ‘juicy’ story. I don’t think their team chemistry is fake at all. Well done guys!
Might want to correct those stats Mumbrella – Jonesy and Amanda climbed 1.3 to a 9.4 share. Think you mixed them up with ABC!
Thank you Stat check. This has been amended.
