Talking Sportsgirl jacket tells consumers it has ‘got your back’
A talking jacket is telling its owner it will always have her back, in a new brand campaign for Australian fashion retailer Sportsgirl.
The latest campaign is narrated by the girl’s jacket
Created by Portas, the new ad tells the story of a young girl and her jacket, and the different activities – such as dancing, hanging out with friends, and arguing with a boy – the girl experiences with her jacket looking after her.
Directed by Gracie Otto, ‘This Jacket’s Got Your Back’ campaign features Australian model, actor and writer Elfy Scott, alongside Ruby Campbell, Raenee Sydney and Sam Goodwin.
As part of the campaign, Sportsgirl will also launch its ‘Gold Jackets’ initiative which will give customers the chance to receive a new-season jacket free of charge on March 10 and 11. The brand is offering 100 free jackets across Australia, and the customer will be informed when they go to the counter to purchase their item.

The campaign will run across Scott and Otto’s social channels; Sportsgirl’s social platforms, website and Style Hub Blog; a Youtube pre-roll; as a Pedestrian.tv website skin and across outdoor.
