The General Store wins Freedom’s creative account and launches ‘castaway’ commercial
Furniture store Freedom has appointed The General Store as its creative agency of record and launched a new ‘castaway’ inspired commercial.
The one minute TV ad features a woman and man lost on an island as they find Freedom furniture under the water to make a temporary home.
As part of the appointment, The General Store will now handle Freedom’s strategic brand and creative direction.
Jason Piggott, general manager of customer and marketing, said in a statement: “The General Store offers a unique blend of retail expertise and creative firepower. They were quick to understand our business and have already offered some powerful insights into the category.”
Matt Newell, co-founder and CEO at The General Store, said the agency was looking forward to working with the brand and strengthening its position in the market.
The General Store’s clients include The Iconic, Supercheap Auto, Marley Spoon, FoodWorks, Hamilton Island and Coates Hire.

Well this explains why delivery takes so long with Freedom. Because the container fell in the sea.
