Two Tractors delivers campaign for KGM SsangYong’s latest vehicle

KGM SsangYong’s new Torres vehicle is now available in Australia, and is backed by a campaign from Two Tractors.

The announcement:

Korean auto maker, KGM SsangYong has just released its newest vehicle, the Torres, into Australian dealerships. The Torres – a mid-sized SUV – combines unique and dynamic styling with class-leading boot space, allowing consumers to pack more in. It joins a line-up that includes the Rexton SUV and the Musso dual cab ute (Drive’s Best Dual Cab ute under $50K, 2024). Creative, production and post-production in this latest campaign have all been managed by independent, Melbourne agency, Two Tractors.

With production taking place prior to the Torres being road registered, the Two Tractors team needed to take a different approach to shooting. The decision was made to film at virtual production studio, Dreamscreen. With Dreamscreen’s three large screens forming the backdrop for the Torres, the Two Tractors animation team created a set of 3D animated backgrounds that would drive the visual look of the campaign, adding dynamic, light-driven movement to every shot. With the final ad requiring precise match cuts, the team worked with Motion Control experts, Robotface to ensure camera moves that were seamless and replicable from take to take.

Agency co-founder, Andy Gaunt: “I can’t thank our team enough for the work that’s gone into this project from start to finish. The end product is a testament to the collaboration across our Creative, Production and Post-production teams. From the initial concepting stage, the teams have worked so closely, solving the myriad challenges you face on a production like this. Dreamscreen is an incredible facility, and I must thank Clay Jacobsen for being such a great partner. Finally, we’ve worked with Robotface numerous times, and I can’t say enough positive things about the way they get it done. We’re really excited to see this campaign in market and, with the Torres now on the road and getting a lot of attention, I’m optimistic about the results and grateful for the continued partnership with KGM SsangYong Australia.”

KGM SsangYong marketing director, Steve Dimitrovski: “It’s great to launch the Torres in Australia. Between its striking good looks, everyday practicality and Korean build quality, it’s an SUV we think will really resonate with Australian motorists. I’m excited about the future of KGM SsangYong Australia and I’m looking forward to building on our existing loyal customer base. Our customers do their research to make the best decision about what’s right for them. And you only need to look around to see there are a lot more KGM SsangYongs on the road these days, so a lot of people see value in what we offer.

As always, the team at Two Tractors have been exceptional to work with. I look forward to seeing this campaign in market.”

KGM SsangYong is one of a roster of Two Tractors clients including Priceline, Aussie Broadband B2B, Carsales, Snooze, VÖOST (P&G), CitiPower Powercor, Urbis and Seek.
